Community guidelines

Rules of the community

Ocupi works because people behave well. These rules exist to keep it that way.

1. Show up

If you join an activity, show up. If you can't make it, cancel as early as possible - at least a few hours before. Other people made plans around you being there.

Your reliability score tracks this. Three or more no-shows without cancelling will lower your score and may restrict your ability to join future activities.

2. Be respectful

Treat everyone - hosts, attendees, strangers at the venue - with basic respect. Ocupi is a platform for real human interaction. Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior will result in account suspension.

3. Post real activities

Activities must be genuine - a real time, a real place, a real intent to meet people. Spam, promotional posts, and activities posted to collect joiners with no intention of hosting are not allowed.

4. Keep it local

Activities should take place in or around Novi Sad. This is a city platform, not a national event board.

5. No commercial solicitation

You may not use Ocupi to sell products or services, promote businesses, or run paid events without prior agreement with the Ocupi team. Community activities are free; the platform is not an event ticketing system.

6. Protect privacy

Do not share other users' personal information, photos, or contact details without their consent. What happens at an Ocupi activity stays between the people who were there.

7. One account per person

Creating multiple accounts to evade a reliability score penalty or account restriction is a permanent ban offense.

How the reliability score works

+3 points - everyone confirms you attended, via the post-event survey
0 points - cancelling before the deadline shown on the activity
−5 points - cancelling after the deadline
−10 points - reported as a no-show by other attendees

Very low scores may lead to a manual account review.

Reporting and appeals

If you believe your score was affected unfairly, or if you want to report a user or activity, contact us at our contact page. We review all reports manually.
